Lina Danitz

I paint pure, organic forms that are inspired by nature and that work through the dynamics of a curve and the interplay of color, proportion and contrast. For 10 years I have been working as an industrial designer in an industry that is thriving by design, driven by technology and where every detail of my creative creation process is considered to fit within a specific grid or budget. My paintings are free of these influences and are intended to bring the viewer from a technology-driven world into a calming, life-affirming atmosphere. As half Japanese and half German, many of my paintings deal with the contrast and interplay of two worlds. My signature is also divided into two halves, which have two different directions – but together they form a whole. — Lina Danitz
